Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results. Other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) target paid listings. In general, the earlier (or higher on the results page of the search engine), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.
Why You need It?
“Search Engine Optimization, Optimizing, SEO”, is not magic or some sort of dark art – it’s all about building pages ethically and with relevant content.
Search engines are looking to display the most relevant results they can for the keywords you type in, so it makes sense to write pages full of content about the subject you are trying to sell or promote. Not only will you rank higher in the search engines, but you will also keep people reading and re-visiting your site because they will find there content that they have specifically searched for.
Search engines are not stupid, they know all the “Search Engine optimizing” tricks in the book (keyword spamming, hidden text, cloaking, doorway pages etc) and if you are caught, you will get removed from their database permanently.
Search Engine optimization is all about writing rich, relevant content about each of your given key phrases. This takes a lot of time and effort but is worth it in the long run. You are more likely to do business with a potential client who has come to your site through reading correctly-written content than someone who has been tricked there by some hidden text or any other underhanded means.
There is only one way to achieve good search engine optimization results, and that is manually. There is no substitute for time and hard work.
A website that is built correctly will NOT have to be submitted to any search engines to get listed. If the process is done correctly, search engines will pick your site up automatically and list every page of your site without any submission service.
